Seeing the Armsan Armtac RS-S1 for the first time one can think & # 8220; The Turkish copy of the Molot & # 8221 ;. But things are not exactly like that. We know that the market has dried up from Saiga 12 in the last 6-8 years. Initially the problem with the Saiga started with the purchase of all Saiga production from America, making the weapon rare in Europe. Then came the Crimean War which forced the factory to stop producing sniper rifles to serve the needs of the Russian army, then came the factory' problems which were finally solved with the creation of the Kalasnikov Concern, but somewhere in the middle came the embargo Russian products from the European Union. So the solution was strategic cooperation with a manufacturer outside Russia and that is the Turkish Armsan. The weapon is manufactured under license and technical specifications of Kalasnikov Concern and the similarities with Molot are simply external and visual. Of course it accepts all Molot accessories. Its operating mechanism, however, comes directly from the Saiga 12 (030), which also differs slightly in appearance from the Molot. Like this, the weapon has a Last Round Bolt hold Open function , ie the shutter remains in the open position after the execution of the last shot. The essential differences are two. The first is the stock that Armsan has adopted the M4 solution. Which means that it has a pipe with M4 specifications on which we can place all the final sticks that are on the market. The second difference is in the trigger mechanism which has been improved by Armsan and has the feeling of an expensive after market mechanism.
